Ashtanga I

Duration: 60 min.

This is a captivating and energizing guided class designed to introduce the sequence of Ashtanga yoga.
Ashtanga I offers a dynamic and enjoyable experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized.
The class is thoughtfully crafted to cater to individuals who want to start practicing Ashtanga, providing a guided introduction to the sequence; but also experienced practitioners who need a shorter, yet invigorating sequence to fit the practice on a busy day.

Mysore style

Duration: Individual

A Mysore-style class is a self-paced and individualized approach to practicing Ashtanga yoga. Students practice the Ashtanga sequence at their own pace, receiving personalized attention and adjustments from the teacher. It allows for a deeper exploration of the practice and encourages self-awareness and growth.
At The New Shala the teachers adapt the sequence and postures of the Ashtanga Yoga System accordingly to each practitioner's individual needs.

Full Primary Led Class

Duration: 120 min.

A guided practice through the entire primary series of Ashtanga Yoga.
This class offers modifications for different levels of experience and allows for the option to modify and skip poses, however, a good level of endurance is recommended to participate in this class.

Intermediate Series Led Class

Duration: 120 min.

A guided practice through the intermediate series of Ashtanga Yoga with technical explanation of the asanas.
This class is designed to accommodate practitioners at various levels, offering modifications for different abilities and allowing for the option to skip poses. However, a good level of endurance is recommended to participate in this class.

Self Practice

Duration: Individual

An open shala for established Ashtanga practitioners to join and practice together. No teachers, adjustments, or instructions provided. Book with subscription or class cards to join.

Chat & Chai

Duration: 30 - 45 min.
