"My fascination with the possibilities inherent in conscious bodywork began with the practice of Ashtanga yoga, which has been part of my life for more than a dozen years. My practice, and the way I introduce it to others, is based on the system handed down at KPJAYI in Mysore, southern India. I had the opportunity to travel there several years in a row and learn directly from the Sharat Jois. Years of teaching eventually led me to co-found my own shala, Ashtanga Warszawa, which focuses on the practice of Ashtanga Yoga.

Ashtanga allowed me to consciously experience the subtle connections between body, mind, emotions and the energy that permeates them. And it provided a starting point for exploring ways and methods that, by combining work with the body, breath and mindfulness, allow us to release our deepest patterns and tensions on the physical and mental levels. This led me to the method of Myofacial Energetic Release (MER) - a way of working deeply and consciously through touch. I completed a full series of MER trainings in Poland, Greece and France, learning from Satyarthi Peloquin - the creator of the method. And I am currently deepening my understanding of this method by assisting my teacher during his workshops."

MER - Myofascial Energetic Release (MER) is a deep manual technique based on fascial massage that combines mindful touch, conscious breathing and gentle movement. By combining these elements, at a basic level, it helps to very effectively relax tensions and release pain (if it occurs) and gain more freedom and recover functionality in the body. In MER, there is a very strong focus on the connection between the body, mind and emotions, consciously working with the somatic symptoms of mental and emotional tensions. It is a very effective method both for pain or discomfort in the body, and when one needs to get rid of excess weight from the body and feel more flow and vitality in it. It can be also very helpful in releasing tensions that have accumulated under increased stress or strong emotions.
